The province recently issued an invasive species alert for the Shiny Geranium. The invasive plant has been observed on property in the Juan de Fuca Electoral Area. This species has been designated as extremely high priority and is part of the provincial Early Detection Rapid Response list, meaning that the province will lead treatment and tracking.
