In response to COVID-19, the B.C. government has closed six provincial parks on Vancouver Island. These are full closures: no one, not even a local, is allowed anywhere in the park. This covers all trails and beaches. The closed list includes Juan de Fuca Provincial Park, which includes Sombrio, China, and Botanical beaches, as well as French Beach.
